About the Lync Insider

The Lync Insider is here to provide the “inside” perspective on Microsoft Lync Server 2010.  You want to know what it is, what it does, the latest-and-greatest for this all-in-one communication package?  Check here.

The Lync Insider Blog is written by Chris Williams, Technical Writer for PlanetMagpie.  (That's me!)  PlanetMagpie is a Microsoft Gold Partner, and was the first IT Consulting firm to implement a full OCS 2007 package in the San Francisco Bay Area. With Lync, its successor, we're getting in on the ground floor.

This blog is a central resource for all Lync Server information we come across and/or generate from our own consulting experiences. I'm also including information on Unified Communications (Lync inter-working with Office, Exchange and SharePoint) and any general Voice over IP info that””s relevant to working with Lync.

Occasionally we'll have guest posts from other PlanetMagpie employees, industry experts…maybe even a few stories from clients.  I'm working on it.

If this is your first time here, start off with our What is OCS 2007?  What Does It Do? post.  Then click a Category on the right, and happy exploring!

Please Note:  PlanetMagpie or any parties associated with it are not responsible for any damage that occurs to your systems as a result of following this advice. But we're happy to help you out with Lync 2010 if we're able!
